Tom Fitzgerald

Tom Fitzgerald is a native New Englander who moved to Cape Cod in 1998.  Tom attended college to become a professionally trained artist and continued in that profession following his graduation.  Tom worked for a renowned glassblowing artist on the Cape until he had an opportunity to transition into construction. Tom joined a local custom home builder and worked with that team until 2007, when he incorporated and launched T.J. Fitzgerald Custom Homes.  Since 2007, T.J. Fitzgerald Custom Homes has focused on building and renovating the highest quality homes across Cape Cod, from Bourne to Provincetown, as well as property management for a select group of clients. Tom credits his success as an artist and builder to his painstaking attention to detail and extraordinary customer service.

TFJ Property Services is an extension of T.J. Fitzgerald Custom Homes’ property management services, on a larger scale.  Tom’s decision to extend his business to include property management was in response to numerous customers over the years asking for help in caring for their properties.  Having built strong relationships with some of the best craftsmen across the Cape and strong partnerships with Heamer and Hanson, each of whom brings years of experience to the team, TJF Property Services was formally launched in 2019.

Russ Heamer

Russ is a Massachusetts native, born outside of Boston and having lived in Brewster for years. Russ brings decades of experience in construction and has been an important part of the Provincetown community as a property manager for the past five years. Russ has managed and supervised “home watch” services, as well as handling more complex needs, for a variety of special and unique properties in Provincetown and Truro. His years of experience in property services has covered nearly all issues and needs of homeowners, ranging from weekly monitoring services and emergency needs that occur from time to time to custom renovations. Russ brings a professional background in construction and project management that has included projects ranging from beach erosion repair to custom remodeling of fine properties. In his free time, Russ enjoys boating, charity work, and travel.

David Hanson

David brings nearly 30 years of experience in law and finance to the TJF Property Services Team.  A native of Massachusetts, David’s career brought him all over the world for a variety of private and governmental entities.  David’s career has been built on a commitment to customer service and attention to detail, and has included a range of financial and operating positions, most recently serving as the chief financial officer for a private institution with a $1B balance sheet and $100M operating budget.  David was born into his family’s construction business and also served as a military officer, which experiences taught him about hard work, discipline and responsiveness. David holds a license to practice law in Massachusetts and an MBA. He is a permanent year-round resident of Provincetown, and brings years of finance, operations management and customer-focused skills to the team.  A lover of wine and scotch, you can also find him working part-time at Perry’s on the corner of Tremont and Commercial Streets.
